Overview
Tension-type headache is the most common headache type, usually described as a tight band of pressure around the head. It is often associated with stress, posture and muscle tension and responds to lifestyle management and exercise.
Symptoms
- Band-like pressure around the head
- Mild to moderate, usually both-sided pain
- Tenderness in the neck and scalp muscles
- No nausea or aura (unlike migraine)
